Caravan Club Fake Facebook Post

The fake Facebook posts seem to be coming thick and fast these days.
This is the text of the post about winning a dented caravan from the Caravan Club:

🔵Due to having a few small dents and scratches we have been unable to sell this in our showroom, rather than flog it as second hand we have decided to bring some joy by giving it to one family. To Participate😊😊:
1 -‪ ‪S‪h‪ar‪e
2 – Co‪‪‪‪m‪ment: Done‪
3 – Li‪‪‪‪ke ou‪‪r p‪‪‪age‪

Includes delivery to the UK or Ireland. Closes November 8th at 6pm Draw shortly after

This one must be more convincing because at least three of my friends on Facebook shared it. But really you have to ask yourself what are the chances of someone just randomly giving away a free caravan that cost tens of thousands of pounds?

However, if you take a closer look at the page yourself, it only has two posts on the page and there is no info on the about section. All it takes really is one quick look at the page and you can see there’s just not enough information on it for it to be genuine.

Apart from that, it does have a lot of likes and followers, so has obviously been quite good at promoting itself.

These pages and posts are used to get information from people. It’s not immediately obvious how they do this on sharing a competition but it seems to be very common.

Apparently, they sometimes change the post after it has been posted, or even change the name of the page, getting people to click on links that get their details.

So please, just look before you share!
